We had a great Sunday (January 15) here in the country, a little bit of heaven in Enola, Arkansas. We had a good crowd. Brother Palmer did an outstanding job leading our singing. We had several guests among us. Everyone stayed around quite a while visiting with one another after services were over. Several of our sick members were better. We enjoyed a great morning and evening of worship together in spirit and truth. God blessed us.

Our elders handed out a “Member Profile Sheet” along with a “Service Sheet” to every member. We have been asked to fill out each sheet and place them in the container in the lobby. The information will us to be more organized in our service to Christ, to one another, and to others. Please check as many items on the service sheet that you feel you would like to participate in. Challenge yourself. God will provide.

Our Sunday morning sermon series “Seven Steps Out of a Rut” continued this week with step #2 – Believe You Can Change. The blind man in Mark 10 could have made excuses. He didn’t. He could have played the blame game. He didn’t. He could have allowed fear to keep him from Jesus. He didn’t. He could have allowed his past to determine his future. He didn’t. He accepted personal responsibility for his life. He believed that he could change. Faith gives us access to the Father. Faith gives us the right to become a Christian. Faith pleases God. Faith is the foundation for our prayers to God. Faith is the substance of our hope and the evidence of we do not yet see. The blind man believed that through Jesus Christ he could be healed. His faith made him well, just like the Bible says. Next Sunday morning we will take a look at Step # 3 as we make the move to get out and stay out of a rut.

Sunday night at Enola! What a wonderful time together. If you are not attending on Sunday evening you are missing out. We are looking at life from differing perspectives. This evening we looked at “The Greatest Thing in the World – The Christian Life.” I believe that the Christian life is the greatest because only in Christ can we have spiritual health. Only in Christ can we have true happiness. Only Christ can we have heaven. Next Sunday evening we will focus on the worst thing in the world – sin. I hope you can make it back at 5:00 on Sunday evening. And hey! We have a very special program for our children and teens on Sunday night too.

Make sure you take a look at our website – www.enolachurchofchrist.com to stay up to date on what’s going on at Enola. We are slowly surely getting our website in order. This week we posted some valuable information about who we are at Enola. Check it out. Check out the calendar of events and get involved with your fellow Christians at Enola. This week on Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. we will have our monthly Men’s Fellowship at the home of Greg Floyd’s in Vilonia. May God bless us all as we continue to work and worship together under that banner of the love and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
