What a wonderful week to be a Christian in the country in Enola, Arkansas! It was a great joy this past Monday evening to see two of our teens confess that Jesus is the Son of God and be baptized into Christ; brothers…twins…Jacob Berry and Jackson Berry. We are so very proud of you. Thank you for your example of faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Another member of our youth group, a faithful young Christian man, Trevor Martin stood before the church on Wednesday evening to extend the invitation of Christ to us after a wonderful period of singing praises to our Lord. Brother Brandon Breeding is doing an outstanding job with our youth group helping them to stay focused on the things that are most important in life, faith, family, and friends.

Have you visited our website lately? You’ll find it when you “Google” the church at www.enolachurchofchrist.com. Check out the calendar of events and activities and see where you can get involved for God, for yourself, for the church, and for yourself. Remember our monthly Birthday and Anniversary Get-Together at the Burleson’s immediately following our evening service this Sunday, January 29th. If you or a member of your immediate family has a birthday or anniversary in January, please come by for some food and fellowship. If you would like to bring your favorite finger-food snack, please do. Cindi and I will provide the cake, drinks, a pizza, and the utensils. We always have a great time together.

Our lesson series on Sunday morning continues tomorrow, January 29th with Step 4 of “Seven Steps Out of a Rut.” Bartimaeus accepted responsibility for his life. He believed he could change. He clarified his needs. HE STOPPED WORRYING ABOUT PEOPLE. Too many people worry too much about what people will think, say, or do concerning their decision to become a Christian or be a Christian. Bartimaeus did not allow the people around him to deter him from his goal to get to Jesus for healing and salvation.

On Sunday evening we will examine “The Worst Thing in the World – SIN.” Our text once again will be Ephesians 2:1-10. Let us remember that becoming a Christian and living the Christian life is truly the greatest thing in all the world. God is greater than any and every sin now and forever.

Can you believe that January is almost history? How are you doing on your resolutions - you know those promises you made to God, to your family and friends, and to yourself? Come on. You can be stronger, better, closer, and more faithful in your Christian life. The church of Christ at Enola can help you in your mission to heaven. We need you. We love you. We want you. We meet together every Sunday for worship and fellowship at 10:00, 11:00, and 5:00. We meet on Wednesday evening at 7:00.
